Mia The Cat family’s sent in this text to us on receiving their Hamper With Heart:
“I write this with tears streaming down my face. We just wanted to say a massive thank you for the hamper. Please know that this small gesture, is felt in a big and powerful way. It makes a difference to us just getting by, to now actually being able to have some kind of enjoyment at Christmas.
And there’s even something for Mia in there too! She’s so excited, she can’t stop eating the biscuits! Thank you, she loves it! And now we have presents to give to one another on Christmas Day, so we’re so excited to open up ours too!
The level of thoughtfulness that went into providing this hamper means more than I can even put into words.
We had been out when you dropped by and I saw the hamper, as we were pulling into the driveway. Oh, what a moment!
I honestly thought God had forgotten about us, but to see that hamper in our front yard was joy beyond words.
Immediately I felt God saying, “look how much I care about you” and started bawling.
I’ve never been so happy, yet so sad at the same time. I need a tissue right now; I haven’t stopped crying yet.
We’re going through something very difficult, at the moment, which has put us in a situation where we feel unsafe in our own home.
We very much appreciate your kindness. We must have just missed you, but your presence is certainly felt in God’s provision. We know the need in the community is great, and for you to choose us – when, who are we, nobody. That makes us feel special and loved, at a time when we have nobody else, apart from God.
To have you show such kindness and compassion and we have nothing to offer you in return, it breaks my heart as I don’t think that “thank you” is good enough. But we would like to offer a genuine and heartfelt thank you to everyone on the team at Church 4 Life.
This is definitely the best Christmas surprise God could’ve ever possibly sent us, through all of you kind people, in providing this hamper to our small family of three.
We hope you all have a joyous Christmas, and a blessed New Year.
Thank you again, and God Bless you all.”
Thank you for sharing your story Mia. That’s the best “Thank You” you can give us. It certainly made our team’s day to get your text.
