Got Questions?

Quick FAQ – I texted or submitted the form but haven’t heard back.

Sorry about that! The most common reason is that your phone number has previously been opted out of our SMS system, so our replies can’t get through.

The good news is it’s easy to fix—just text START to 0466 842 101 to re-enable messages. Once you’ve done that, simply resend your text or booking request and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

What Items Do We Accept For Donation?

We can Accept Good Quality

Unfortunately, we Cannot Collect

The following items cannot be collected by our Clothing Collection Team but May Be Dropped Off at our Warners Bay Op Shop 7 days a week

For hygiene and safety, we cannot accept at all, any used pillows, cushions, mattresses, life jackets, bike helmets or car seats for babies and children.

Unfortunately, we are overloaded with books and DVDs at this time and are unable to accept either until further notice. You are welcome to purchase books and dvds at any of our op shops to help them find new homes and make space for new ones 🙂

Donations can be dropped off at our Boolaroo, Tanilba Bay and Warners Bay Op Shops and in our bins at various locations. To find a drop off location near you click here.

Due to very limited storage space we ask that donations are not dropped off at our Cardiff or Woodrising Op Shops.

Because of the cost of operating our collection vehicles, we ask for a minimum of 5 bags for special pickups. Our charity receives no government funding for this service, so we rely on the generosity of our community and work hard to be good stewards of every dollar entrusted to us.

If you have fewer than 5 bags but would still love us to collect them, one easy option is to ask friends, neighbours or family if they’d like to add a few bags to your pickup. It’s a great way to help more items find a new home while meeting our 5-bag minimum for special collections.

If you’d like to help keep this free pickup service available for others, you’re also welcome to make a contirbution towards the cost of collections here: Chip In For Petrol

Our charity’s collection service is designed to make donating your quality clothing and household linen as easy, convenient and efficient as possible. Thank you for partnering with us to see 1,000 Lives Changed.

What Happens To The Donated Clothes?

Most items are sold at very affordable prices which not only helps those buying them, but also helps provide a livelihood for many people who need work locally and globally.

Any clothing not needed locally, gets baled and shipped overseas. By up-cycling clothes, we are proud to say that we have kept thousands of kilograms out of landfill every year.

Church 4 Life is a registered Not For Profit charity through the ACNC. Any profits go directly back into charity expenses so we can continue to help local and global communities.

Some of the countries we have helped are Mozambique, Fiji, Bulgaria, India, Sierra Lione, Togo, Africa, The Middle East and more

Whether you’re looking to donate women’s clothes, professional clothes, or casual attire, your contributions help us provide essential resources to those in need.

With us, you can rest assured that your donations are handled responsibly and go toward meaningful initiatives. Join us in creating a sustainable future—donate clothes nearby today and be part of the change!

We thank you sincerely for your continued support and donations!

The Purpose Behind Clothes Collection

In 1991, Pastor Richard Nash was burdened to send clothes to Mozambique. They were the poorest country in the world at the time and had been faced with war, drought and a hurricane.

After learning that people were dressing in tree bark because there was nothing else, he prayed, fasted and brainstormed with family, friends and church colleagues. Richard applied to the Australian High Commissioner for AU $20,000 for humanitarian aid to Zimbabwe and Mozambique. The funds were granted in January 1992 and we started collecting clothes.

Many Christian churches joined our mission and the clothes started flowing in filling a shipping container, and within months the clothes had been distributed to around 8,500 people. Two years later we repeated this process helping even more.

After another visit to Fiji and seeing the incredible poverty of some people, we asked ‘What can be done to improve their quality of life and help them earn a living?’

The end result is Church for Life Clothing Collectors. We accept all kinds of clothing, from everyday wear to specialty pieces. Whether you want to donate clothes to charity, locate charity shops nearby that collect, or schedule a clothing collection pick-up, we make it simple and hassle-free. Your old clothes gain new life through our local charities that pick up, reducing waste and supporting our mission to make a difference.
