Wendy’s Story
When Wendy and her adult disabled son were homeless, they received support through our Hampers With Heart program.
But more than the practical support, Wendy later shared how much it meant to simply feel seen, valued, and cared for.
The following year, Wendy returned — not to receive help, but to help others.
She volunteered.
She donated.
She nominated somebody else journeying through homelessness.
What started as receiving help became someone helping change another life.
Jayden’s Story
Doctors once said Jayden may never walk or talk.
After completing work experience through Church 4 Life Clothing Collectors, he gained confidence, encouragement, and inspiration to pursue his forklift licence.
Because people in this community chose to help, Jaden’s future began to change.Â
Heather’s Story
Due to illness, Heather is mostly housebound.
But even from home, she wanted to make a difference.Â
Her house became a local donation collection point where people connect, donate, and support Church 4 Life Charitie’s work in the community.
What could have become isolation instead became purpose, connection, and community.
Mark’s Story
Mark originally came to volunteer looking for something meaningful to do during retirement.
But through helping others, he found friendship, support, purpose, and community during difficult seasons of his own life.
His story is one of hundreds we’ve seen through Church 4 Life over the past few years.Â
Isabel’s Story
After experiencing domestic violence, Isabella was struggling to provide for her children.
She first visited our op shop simply trying to stretch every dollar a little further.
But what she found wasn’t just affordable food, clothing and essentials.
She found kindness.
She found support.
She found courage.
