Donor Services Officer

You may have contact centre experience, or maybe not. While phone customer service experience and tertiary qualifications in Communication, Business, Customer Service, Marketing or related fields will be highly regarded, we are open to applicants with relevant transferable skills.

What is essential is your drive, strategic planning strengths, ability to handle high volumes of calls, text messages and emails quickly and accurately in a faced paced environment, love of helping people over the phone, and proven ability to deliver outstanding results in a business environment.

About the job:

We are looking for Casual staff to join our Donor Services Team for shifts Monday to Friday, and especially on Wednesdays.

In this role you will answer inbound calls, texts and online requests from donors and allocate donation pick ups for our drivers to collect in an efficient and timely manner.

Outbound calls to thank donors for their engagement in Campaigns is a fun part of this role.

You will also provide administration support to various teams in our charity including our Donor Services Teams, Op Shops and Marketing.

What you will do in this job:

  • Engage with donors as the primary point of contact for all enquires, answering phone calls, text messages and online enquires through our cloud-based software
  • Arrange pick up of donations for Collection driver’s run in an efficient way
  • Provide office support for Collection drivers
  • Answer enquires about other departments of Church 4 Life Charities
  • Outbound calls campaigns to thank donors
  • General administration support

We are looking for a part time Children’s Pastor but we can also offer you that second part time job you will also be looking for.

Church 4 Life is based in beautiful Lake Macquarie where we see God moving and miracles happening daily. Although we are a small, growing church we have been given a big vision and have a charity arm that serves over one million people in the Hunter and Central Coast regions.

Church 4 Life has a long history of amazing ministry to children and youth that unfortunately closed for a few years. We believe it’s God’s time for us to pioneer a new ministry to children in our community.

About The Job:

In this role you will be pioneering a new children’s ministry from the ground up to prayerfully:

  • Create a vision for our Children’s Ministry
  • Build, train and lead teams of volunteers
  • Be responsible for Child Protection and WHS compliance
  • Choose or create curriculums   
  • Start and run a Sunday morning program for children aged 2-12 years old
  • Start and run a mid-week outreach program for primary school aged kids to connect children and their families to Jesus Christ and our church
  • Start and run school holiday programs
  • Connect with, pray for and care for the kids in our programs and their families
  • Manage a budget and be responsible for all administration and record keeping
  • Introduce children and their families to Jesus Christ and teach them how to be His disciples

As this ministry grows, we envision it expanding into ministry for babies and toddlers, teenagers and young adults. But first, we are going to invite the children to come and meet Jesus.

One of your work days will be Sunday, the other day/s will be based around our outreach programs.

You will report directly to our Senior Pastor and be based from our charity office in Warners Bay where you will have access to marketing and leadership support from our charity.

About You:

  • You have a God given anointing for pioneering children’s ministry
  • A sound understanding of the Bible and a daily relationship with Jesus Christ where you have proven experience hearing and obeying His voice
  • You are hardworking, have initiative and can work with minimal supervision
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working with children either paid or voluntary
  • Training in leading and teaching children (this can be formal such as child care, education, ministry or informal as Impact, Kidsreach or QuickStart Rangers)
  • Strong experience in Child Protection compliance
  • Demonstrated experience in administration and record keeping
  • Experience in creating and leading teams

 

The PLUS Part:

If you would like to work more than 15 hours per week, we are willing to offer you a second part time or casual job within our charity. The role will depend on your qualifications and position vacancies at the time and could be in one of the following roles – retail, driving, motorcyclist, warehousing, marketing, ecommerce, accounting, contact centre or administration.

We are looking to for several Casual employees to work a variety of shifts across our 3 Lake Macquarie Op Shops located at Cardiff, Warners Bay and Woodrising. Shifts vary from 3 – 8 hours in length from 9am to 5pm 7 days a week.

  • Provide outstanding service to customers and donors

In this job you will lead all our op shop teams to serve their communities with excellence. This includes the following:

  • Provide effective leadership to create, train and motivate teams of dedicated staff and volunteers across all our stores
  • Embed outstanding customer service, operational and visual merchandising standards across all stores
  • Drive increase in sales to reach KPI’s, including training staff in sale technics
  • Source and introduce new product lines
  • Improve processes, sales and community engagement
  • Meet financial and organisational KPI’s
  • Be responsible for implementation of company policies including WHS
  • Champion staff and community support in our charity wide campaigns such as our Hampers With Heart Christmas Appeal
  • Work in partnership with other department Leaders to see our Mission succeed

As we grow you will be responsible for setting up future new op shops.

This role is a permanent full-time salary position based from our Warners Bay site and will require you to travel to our other op shops on a regular basis.

You will be required to work some weekends to lead weekend teams.

You will be working from home most days and coming into the office as needed, usually once a week.

  • Distribute bags and/or flyers to mailboxes in given areas, meeting minimum daily targets

About the job:

Our “Packing Party” of volunteers started over 5 years ago and we call this fun bunch a “Party” as sorting through donations creates interesting conversations and laughter as you spend your day with new friends and old.  

This team has grown significantly recently so we are now looking for a team leader to fill a full-time position Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm at our warehouse in Warners Bay and take this fabulous team to the next level of growth and efficiency.

At Church 4 Life Charities we are big believers in the power of work to create connection, purpose and hope in people’s lives. We see this play out every day in our volunteer team as lives change while they work to make a difference in the world.

Our volunteer team includes a diverse bunch of people including volunteers, Work for the Dole participants, Community Service workers and Work and Development Order volunteers. This group covers all ages and a range of ability challenges.

Like any good party, some folk are with us for years and some for a few days. This is a high turnover team and so you will be constantly onboarding and training new team members.
