Maria brought her grandson Zeke to Hampers with Heart Packing Day so that together they could make a difference for those who need it most at Christmas.

“Do you know why we’re here?” Maria asked Zeke.”To pack hampers for people who don’t have food,” he responded with confidence.

“I heard about it over Rhema,” Maria explained, “And I thought it might be nice to bring my grandson along to be able to see that there are people in need in our community, and to be able to help together.”

The two got stuck in, adding groceries from the Bonus Shop. Together they also selected age appropriate gifts that they thought would be just right for the families who would receive the hampers they were packing.

Zeke won two prizes in the raffle on the day too. “I chose a table and some other things,” he said with a smile.
