Covid lockdowns bought isolation and loneliness to many people in our community. So many normal activities were shut down and then slow to reopen.
We made an early decision to reopen our Garage Sales as soon as we were allowed as being an open air activity they were about the safest way people could gather after lockdowns. For many of our regulars and others in our community, it was the first activity they returned to after lockdown. The joy on people’s faces as they stopped for a chat was precious.
Our Garage Sale team never imaged what a miracle this month event would be to so many people in the years ahead, but God knew and so He kept us where we needed to be for our community for that time.
