In January 2021 we began praying for a new warehouse. Our current lease was coming to an end where we either needed to renew it or move. So, we began to pray.
A few weeks later Corinne mentioned that she felt we needed to pray specifically for a “warehouse complex”, where we would all be under the same roof once again. We had been working from two locations for 3 years, which hadn’t been easy. It needed to be close by, affordable for our charity, set up for what we needed and enough room for all of our departments. These types of complexes are few and far between, but we began praying for exactly this believing that God would provide.
On June 4th our hunt began in earnest. There were only 4 warehouses to view and 3 of them were not suitable at all. The Board then went to 250 Macquarie Rd, and we were amazed! This met all our requirements and more (and the red doors were a bonus for Gail, who loves red). This premises had been sitting vacant for a few years waiting for us. It absolutely exceeded our expectations!
We moved in on the 21st of July 2021 and we are so excited at the potential for growth with so much extra room. Unbeknown to us, the 2021 Lockdowns were coming a few weeks after we moved. We made our big warehouse move just in the nick of time, with the extra space helping with social distancing.
An unexpected miracle from this new complex was the opening of our Warners Bay Op Shop at this premises, which is now open 7 days a week for Op Shopping and donation drop offs! God knew what we needed before we asked!
