Church 4 Life

Darby is studying Marine Biology at Newcastle University and he’s part of our team. We love uni students. When they are looking for more casual shifts in their holidays we are in our peak periods as families are decluttering during the school holidays so really need their extra time. When they need time off for exams, we are happy to oblige.

Darby works both in our Op Shops and our warehouse. His flexibility allows him to fill in gaps wherever they pop up. He is a favourite of our op shop customers, particularly at Woodrising.

Darby says “I was looking for more than just a job. Church 4 Life Charities gives me the opportunity to make a difference in our world, both for people and our environment. That’s important to me.”

Although his work for us is mostly indoors and a long way from caring for ocean creatures, we know that just as he is a blessing to us, we are helping him learn lessons that will help him his whole career through.
