Kindness has a way of staying with you.
When Loretta arrived at Church 4 Life Op Shop in Warners Bay with a delivery of kitchen goods, she wasn’t expecting anything in return. After gathering 22 bags of clothing and shoes from neighbours, friends and family, she simply wanted to help make a difference for others in need.
But what she found was something deeply encouraging.
“The staff I met at Warners Bay were so kind and so very appreciative,” Loretta shared. “It was lovely seeing this graciousness.”
For Loretta, that warmth meant more than she could have imagined. In the past, she had attempted to donate items to other well-known charities, only to leave feeling dismissed and disheartened. This experience was different. She was met with genuine gratitude, care and kindness from the very beginning.
And that changed something.
What started as a simple donation became a meaningful connection with a community that values both generosity and people. Loretta’s heart for helping others was not only welcomed — it was celebrated.
“I will continue to collect household items from friends and family and from now on only be donating to your beautiful hearted charity,” she said.
Stories like Loretta’s remind us that generosity creates more than practical support. It builds belonging. It brings encouragement. It lets people know they are seen and valued.
At Church 4 Life Charities, we are so thankful for compassionate people like Loretta who continue to rally their communities together to help others. Every donated item, every kind word and every act of generosity helps bring hope to individuals and families doing it tough.
Loretta finished her message with a blessing that touched our hearts: “I wish you health and happiness.”
And we wish the same for her.
