Church 4 Life

In early August Gail went for a walk and asked Jesus “What should we do to help people this Christmas?” Jesus immediately dropped the idea and details for Hampers With Heart into Gail’s mind. The aim of Hampers With Heart is to be a blessing to both the givers and receivers while providing not just food but love to those in our community who are struggling.

August to Christmas is not a lot of time to organise a big program like this but with the help and support of many people we have been able to share a lot of love and practical support to people throughout the Central Coast and Hunter regions who are really doing it tough this year, particularly with the rapid rise of inflation.

Hampers With Heart 2022 stats:

Hampers Sponsored – 77
Hampers Allocated – 204
Helpers to Pack Hampers – 64

Over 515 people have be blessed with food, groceries and a gift. Together over $4,000 of gifts and over $16,000 of food and groceries have been given out thanks to the generosity of sponsors and donors.

We’d like to say an extra big THANK YOU to:

* Rhema FM Newcastle for partnering with us in inviting our community to be part of blessing others this Christmas.
* To everyone who donated food, gifts and/or sponsored a hamper or twenty (this year’s record, one donor sponsored 20 hampers – wow!).
* Our team who worked tirelessly to gather, process, allocate, wrap, pack and deliver hampers. Especially to those brave folks who helped with the “Whatcha doin’ Gail?” videos.
* Our Church 4 Life congregation for all their prayer support.

Because struggling for food is not just a Christmas thing, we give out Hampers all year round. If Christmas isn’t the only time you give to those in need, consider making a financial donation here.
