Church 4 Life

It felt like the end of a long and faithful season. For 38 years, Pauline had been part of the same church community. She served wholeheartedly as a church administrator, walking closely alongside her pastor and supporting the life of the church she loved. But when her pastor retired after 45 years, that chapter gently came to a close. It was a big change—one that could have felt uncertain.

Yet Pauline held onto a simple truth: when God closes a door, He opens another.

Not long after, a new door opened through Church 4 Life Charities. Pauline joined the Church 4 Life family at Boolaroo and soon found herself stepping into something fresh. “The church is based on the Word of God, very friendly, and has a real spirit and presence of God,” she shared. Her journey there began on 19 December 2025.

Then, in early February, another opportunity unfolded. Pauline began volunteering at the Warners Bay Op Shop every Monday and Friday. What started as simply giving her time quickly became something much deeper —and very different from the administration work she had done for so many years.

“It’s great to be a volunteer,” she said. And you can hear the joy in her words.

From hanging clothes to dusting shelves to welcoming customers, Pauline found purpose in the everyday moments. She loves the variety, the connection with people, and the sense of teamwork. “The staff are superb to work with,” she shared, smiling. Even customers have noticed—commenting on how beautifully presented the shop is and how welcoming it feels.

This new season hasn’t replaced what was—it’s expanded it.

If you want purpose, friends, and a great place to volunteer, Church 4 Life Op Shops is the place to be,” Pauline says.

Pauline’s story is a reminder that God’s timing is kind, and new beginnings can carry just as much purpose as the seasons before. Through Church 4 Life Charities, she has found belonging again, and her willingness to serve continues to touch lives in quiet, meaningful ways.

We are so thankful for volunteers like Pauline. Because of the generosity of our community, stories like hers continue to unfold—full of hope, purpose, and fresh beginnings.
