Why do we have a Garage Sale?

Church 4 Life Clothing Collectors gets a large amount of household items given by the public, so much so that we get more in than we can ship out to our local and overseas connections. We needed to find another way to helpfully move these items to a place they were needed, to make room for all the new items coming in daily, otherwise they sadly would have end up in landfill.

Hosting a garage sale was the idea decided upon, because we know the Hunter region loves it’s market stalls, finding a bargain and spending a day out on the weekend enjoying the local community events. Our first garage sale event was a success, it was a really great day out and was wonderful to meet community friends!

We now host a monthly garage sale with most items being $2 each, so you’re sure to grab a bargain, and all proceeds go straight back into supporting our not for profit charity. We have been able to cover general expenses, petrol costs and buy more vehicles thanks to funding raised from our events, and that means we can collect more clothing to send to the people who really need it. Contact 0466-842-101 for further information
