Sunday morning is the messiest time in my home
The week’s been so busy
I simply haven’t found time to clean
Between work and social my home’s one huge mess.

“But if you are afraid to go down, go down to the camp with Purah your servant, 11 and you shall hear what they say; and afterward your hands shall be strengthened to go down against the camp.” Judges 7:10-11a (NKJV)
My dentist has a sign at reception saying “We cater for cowards” and they do. No one likes visiting the dentist (except maybe his wife and kids), but Dr Colthorpe makes weird teeth fixing sounds as un-scary as possible. That’s one of the reason’s I’ve been frequenting that dental surgery for the last twenty years.
I love the story of Gideon (Judges 6-8). Here is one of the biggest chickens in Israel…. read more here
This week I want to share with you lessons from 3 widows in the Bible. The first is probably the most famous of the 3, so you’ve probably heard her story. Here it is again from Luke 21:1-4

We can assume from the fact that they noticed… read more here
MJ crept closer and closer. Bent double each step a study in silence. Nerves tingling with excitement awe and a tinge of fear he paused to quieten his breathing, a difficult battle against the energy pulsating inside. An unexpected sound made him duck and dodge around the corner. There it was. So close, and yet he could not go much further without being in fear of his life, literally.
MJ knew, just as certainly as he knew he was an Israelite, that it was the Holiness of the place that drew him. He would not admit that to a living soul… read more here
How can the same sound bring so much joy and so much pain, to the same heart, in the same breathe? A newborn’s cry. A toddler’s laugh. A mother’s scold. Empty arms ache at the sound Joy for you, with you Pain for me, hope deferred, desire denied…. read more here
This week I caught this quote from one of the experts, who said:
“Often it’s not that I don’t hear from God. It’s just that I don’t like what He’s saying.” …. read more here
